Experts on tobacco control from nonprofits and the scientific, academic, and legal communities convened at HSPH on June 22 to recognize the second anniversary of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, which was sponsored by the late U.S. Senator Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy (D-MA). The event was sponsored by HSPH, the American Legacy Foundation, the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and the Northeastern University School of Law. Learn more

Don't Forget the Fitness Benefit

Benefits-eligible faculty, staff, and postdocs on the regular HSPH payroll who work at least 17.5 hours per week may be reimbursed for up to $350 per fiscal year in fitness equipment, classes, and services ($550 for those who have worked at HSPH more than 5 years). For fiscal year 2011, purchases between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011, are covered. You must fill out the appropriate paperwork and submit receipts to Human Resources by July 15. HUCTW: Use your extra personal day

Per the HUCTW contract effective July 1, 2010, all HUCTW staff were awarded an additional personal day to be used by June 30, 2011. The time is added to the Floating Holiday Balance and is based on hire date.
