Health care cost-sharing

Katherine Swartz, professor of health policy and economics, discusses the effects that asking patients to share more of the costs of health care has on overall health spending and the health of vulnerable people. Her findings appeared in a recent report produced by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Read report and watch web seminar

 

Little historical evidence to support cutting global health aid during recessions 

Researchers found that some countries appeared to reduce aid, while others increased it in a manner that did not seem to depend on the scale of the financial crisis they faced. Read more
