To honor his many accomplishments, the friends and family of Dr. Armen H. Tashjian, Jr., Professor of Toxicology, Emeritus, in the Department of Genetics and Complex Diseases, have established an award in his name to assist faculty and fellows to pursue innovative research ideas in basic biomedical sciences.

 

This year's inaugural award recipient, Brendan D. Manning, will present the lecture Connecting Cancer to Metabolism Through a Nutrient Sensing Signaling Network.

Faculty appointment

Lauren Smith has been appointed as a Yerby Visiting Associate Professor of Society, Human Development, and Health at HSPH during the spring semester. She is the medical director and chief medical officer for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
