Dean Frenk joins
UN group to combat poverty
 Dean Julio Frenk has joined a United Nations advocacy group to
eradicate poverty. The group includes two Nobel laureates, businessmen and philanthropists Bill Gates and Ted
Turner, and others. They have been tasked with galvanizing support for
achieving the Millennium Development Goals by the target date of
2015. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

Free mini-golf and batting cages in Allston
 The new Harvard Allston Field and Fairway opened last weekend for family-friendly summer fun. The 168 Western Ave. site offers batting cages and mini-golf. Activities are free and will be open to the public on
