Grant Making Charity Focused On The Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse Plans Annual Golf Tournament and Banquet on June 22, 2010 at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center
Denver, June 17, 2010 - Hedge Funds Care, a global non-profit organization which raises funds and awareness within the alternative investment industry for programs that work to prevent and treat child abuse, announced today that its Southwest Chapter will hold its 3rd Annual Southwest Golf Tournament and Banquet on Tuesday June 22, 2010 at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center (200 Inverness Drive West Englewood, CO 80112).  Shotgun will be at 1:30pm.
Members of the alternative investments community will tee off at the elegant Inverness Golf Club which has hosted six State Open Championships, eight Colorado Section PGA Championships and been declared one of the "Top Resort Courses" in Colorado by Avid Golfer Magazine.  Local sponsors of this tournament include Altegris Capital, LLC, Houlihan Smith & Company, Inc., ALPS Fund Services Inc., Spicer Jeffries LLP, United States Commodity Funds LLC, Pyxis Global Financial Services, Holme Roberts & Owen, LLP, and Rothstein Kass & Co.  Also sponsoring this event is the Colorado Hedge Funds Roundtable, which will be held one day prior to the tournament on Monday, June 21st at 3pm.

"While it's always great to get together with friends and colleagues and play a few holes this particular game of golf bears extra importance." said Russ Clement of Spicer Jeffries, LLP and the Hedge Funds Care Southwest Chapter. "The money that will be raised in this tournament will go towards alleviating one of our great national tragedies - child abuse and neglect.  The alternative investment industry in Colorado is really stepping up to the plate by not only opening their wallets, but also their hearts."  Since its inception in 2005, the Southwest Chapter of Hedge Funds Care has distributed over $444,000 through 23 grants.
