Is Social Media a Fad?

Back in September 2009, nearly 20,000 people pulled off a massive surprise for an unsuspecting Oprah. The entire crowd performed a choreographed piece to the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling." The flash-mob style dance was designed so that the dancers met at a pre-planned location and performed their routine, this also included teaching some of the people in the crowd the moves. Believe it or not, but all of the planning prior to the surprise was done solely through social media.
