MASTERING CONFIDENCE
It's easily lost, dangerous in large quantities, and elusive to pin
down. Learn how to maintain - and wield - the perfect amount of
confidence.
by Andrew Tilin
During these rough times, it's easy for your confidence - like so many
other things - to spiral downward. You probably find yourself asking a
slew of questions: Where did I go wrong? Should I have changed
directions back in, say, 2007? What if I had been more assertive?
Listened to others? What should I do now to improve my situation? It's not always comforting to know that you're not alone, but it is the
truth. You can be sure that your employees or subordinates, as well as
your clients, are asking themselves the same sorts of questions, with
one key difference: They're looking to you for reassurance. So whom do
you turn to? That's where BNET's guide to mastering confidence comes
in. We'll tell you what confidence is, how everyone from scholars to
the Marines holds on to it, and how you might gain more of it. And
we'll give you proven methods for putting yourself into the right
mind-set for each and every workday.

Strategic Business Communications would like to award Confidential Restaurant & Loft
with the Strategic Business Communications OOZE Award for June 2009. The OOZE
Award is our way to show our appreciation for the outstanding attitude and
follow through of the entire staff at the Confidential Restaurant & Loft. Confidential
Restaurant & Loft located in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp
Quarter is a smart and stylish venue. It has a contemporary design with
exposed brick walls, international tapas menu (designed for sharing), and
a DJ booth upstairs. We want to show that the standard of service is just a
standard, but those who go above and beyond should be recognized and
awarded. That is how we developed the OOZE Award. We want to express
our gratitude to the Confidential Restaurant & Loft for demonstrating
what we at SBC believe to be outstanding, not only in theory but in the
practice of every staff member at the restaurant. When Jim Hernandez and his wife dined at the Confidential Restaurant & Loft back in April, they were
pleasantly surprised with the excellent wait staff and the delicious food. Jim's experience was so overwhelming that he nominated the staff at the
Confidential Restaurant & Loft for the Strategic Business
Communications OOZE Award. "They are amazing because everyone on the wait staff was extremely nice and made sure to give prompt service (not to mention the food was absolutely delicious)" Jaime "Jim" Hernandez, President, Strategic Business Communications, Inc. Using the Strategic Business Communications OOZE standard,
it is clear that the Confidential Restaurant & Loft exemplifies
customer service. This means everyone at the venue is making
sure they do the best they can for their customers, ALL the time.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SAN DIEGO CONFIDENTIAL RESTAURANT & LOFT!!!
