One with the River
|
Hello everyone, Saturday, August 18th will be our Grand Opening for the new Historic Newburgh, Inc. Offices and Visitor Center featuring our HNI shop and Rivertown Art Gallery. All day we will have light refreshments and music. We hope you will just stop in to see what we have to offer. Put on your calendar the Newburgh Fiddler Fest which is August 24, 25, 26. That is the last weekend in August. This is a change from years of being the last weekend in September. An added feature on Friday the 24th will be the Heritage Federal Credit Union Fireworks Celebration which was postponed from the 4th of July. Neither Castle High School nor Memorial have home games that night. Fish and Fireworks...now that sounds like a great evening. Carol Schaefer Executive Director |
Check out our new location at 517 W. Main Street. We are at the point across The Pet Food Center, Heart of Newburgh, Cricketts, Patton Music and the Haircare Center. We are diagonal from Titzer Funeral Home.

The End

The Fireworks Committee
would like to once again thank the businesses and individuals that are financially supporting the Fireworks through sponsorships and button sales. This is truely a community event!
It will be a little different because we will have the fireworks on the same evening of the Fiddler Fest, August 24th with a rain date of August 25th
Fireworks buttons are still on sale and we will still have a VIP section for button holders

Our shop continues to flourish with Historic Newburgh t-shirts, postcards, note cards, sweatshirts, wine glasses, books by local authors and prints of some of our historic homes. Below is our
Historic Newburgh Ornament which will be available all year.
Our ornament is beveled glass with an etched design of Preservation Hall designed by Gerald Ulrich and created by Heather Kent and her company Tagged Designs.
The ornaments are on sale in the office for $10.00 each.
The people of Newburgh are "One With The River." It is part of who we are. You will enjoy wearing our new hoodie that has "One With The River" on the front and Historic Newburgh Indiana on the lower backside. It is reasonably priced at $35.00. We also have "One With The River" t-shirts for $15.00. We have them in blue and we have them in purple.

For you golfers, we have a Sport Tek golf shirt with Historic Newburgh Indiana emblasened on the top right. This is a great gift for a friend, family or yourself for only $30.00. I am telling you this looks great on!

It is always 72 degrees on the River at Edgewater Grille!
Edgewater has a new baker and he is serving up hot loaves of bread for sale at the Farmers Market. I have seen people simple take a bite out of their loaf. It is that good. Bring in your church bulletin ($1 given back to church for bulletin we receive). |

Other things are happening in Newburgh
There is a new eatery in town. Stop in at the southeast corner of Sharon Place. They have wraps and salads. Check out their catering menu too.

Vecchios
So its Friday night and you don't want to cook, but you really just want to chill at home. Try their Grab and Go menu. It is only on Friday nights.
The Beer of the Month club will be fun to get involved with. Amanda is the beer guru. Feel free to stop in or call Amada if you have a beer question or would like to participate in the Beer of the Month club.

Every meal is special at Cafe Arazu and you might hit it on a night when they have music!
"As some of you know, "arazu" means wish or desire, and one wish dear to our hearts is to foster the arts. Last fall we began the first Arazu Arts Fest, a weeklong display of arts and crafts punctuated by evening musical performances.
Another way we promote aspiring musical artists is to be an original music venue; we want to help local artists make their wishes come true as they play out their musical aspirations."

The Tin Fish Music Schedule for the Month
You can put it on your calendar...every Friday and Saturday night, from 5:30-8:30 there will be music. |
