$30 Can Save a Life
Your $30 gift will enable one of these kittens to be spayed, vaccinated, and protected from parasites.  Want to help her sisters too?  $90 will free all three from the cycle of reproduction and protect them from parasites and disease.

 December 14th, 2010
Greetings!

You and I have something in common, and it's a simple but powerful connection. You and I care about cats.

I'm emailing you today because I believe that as people who care about cats, we have an obligation to help them.  And we're fortunate enough to have Operation Catnip to give us the opportunity to help them.

This past Sunday I worked beside one kind OC volunteer who took advantage of that opportunity.  She isn't a veterinarian or a vet student and she doesn't feed a colony of ferals.  But like you and I, she cares about cats. She woke up early Sunday morning and like nearly 100 caregivers from all over the county she braved the cold rain and went down to OC. There she was part of a team of over 80 volunteers that, despite the cold, spayed and neutered 214 community cats in just a few hours!

Doesn't it amaze you what we can do when we work together?

That volunteer gave what she could, and she helped literally hundreds of cats!  Now I'm asking you to help.  I'm asking you to give what you can.

Even with the support of so many volunteers, it costs Operation Catnip about $30 to help each cat.  $30 gives a life-saving and life-changing chance to a kitty who has spent every day scrounging and trying to make it on her own.

If you believe, like that volunteer and I do, that these cats deserve a chance at life - to be protected from disease and free from the cycle of reproduction - this is the perfect opportunity for you to join with others and help our community's cats.

Please join me this holiday season and make a donation that's meaningful to you.  Whether it's $30, $60, $90, or another amount, your tax-deductible gift will have a direct impact on the life of a community cat.  Please give as generously as you can.

Operation Catnip's dedicated volunteers helped spay and neuter over 2,000 cats in 2010. Your holiday gift will make it possible to help even more cats in 2011.

Thank you for helping community cats.  We're lucky to be part of this compassionate community and the vital work of this lifesaving program.
