Dear Friend of Feral Cats,
We are excited to share that 77 volunteers
donated their time this past Sunday to help 193 of Alachua County's
community cats. The lucky stray and feral cats were spayed or neutered,
vaccinated and given flea and heartworm preventative at no charge to the kind
caregivers that brought them.
Operation Catnip Spay Days are fueled by compassionate caregivers, kind volunteers and thoughtful donations from people like you. Please make a contribution to ensure that as many community cats are spayed and neutered as possible.

Drs. Julie Levy (Medical Director), Abigail
Amlong, Kali-Nicole Campbell, Deborah Cottrell, Cynda Crawford, Brian DiGangi,
Alex Gallagher, Mariano Guas, Sarah Kirk, Karen Schaedel, and Fred Schirmer,
all donated their time we are grateful for their help
A special thanks to Judy Angley, Sharyn
Passeretti, and Judith Strack for making a beautiful spread for lunch and
to Bob Blanchard at Papa John's Pizza for donating delicious pies that helped
feed our hungry volunteers.
Sincerely,
Shaye Olmstead Operation Catnip Manager

Aurora & Myles watch Dr. Levy |
The ASPCA sent two visitors to observe the spay day clinic on Sunday. Aurora Piacentino, Tour Communities Manager, and Myles Chadwick, Tour Operations Manager of the ASPCA's new National Spay/Neuter Tour came to learn about our clinic operations in an effort to help other communities save lives.
"This is an exciting
new program for us in which we'll be working with organizations in small
cities and towns across the country, training them to utilize alternative
methods of delivery such as mobile clinics, MASH style clinics, and in-clinic
clinics, to provide spay/neuter for their communities," Piacentino said. "We're hoping to
fill the gap for those communities who have a need for high volume spay/neuter
but whose population likely could not sustain an actual brick and mortar
spay/neuter clinic."
Operation Catnip is excited about the work that Aurora, Myles, and the team at the ASPCA are doing and wishes them great success!
