Dear Friend of Feral Cats,

We are excited to announce that over 30,000 community cats have been spayed or neutered by Operation Catnip!

An awesome 105 volunteers helped 157 of Alachua County's homeless cats on Sunday. Cats were all spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies, feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia, and feline leukemia virus, and received Revolution to prevent fleas, ear mites, intestinal parasites, and heart worms. This month all services were provided at no charge to caregivers.

Caregivers are encouraged to bring OC Grads in annually for free boosters. On Sunday, 31 Operation Catnip Graduates received free booster vaccines.

Dr. Julie Levy (Medical Director), Dr. Laura Andersen, Dr. Deborah Cottrell, Dr. Cynda Crawford, Dr. Brian DiGangi, Dr. Markus Froembling, Dr. Mariano Guas, Dr. Sarah Kirk, Dr. Fred Schirmer, and Dr. Kelley Thieman were in attendance and we are grateful for their help.

Thanks to Sharyn Passeretti there was a beautiful spread to feed our team of volunteers.

Operation Catnip thanks all of you that came out to celebrate with us.

Sincerely,

Shaye Olmstead

Many thanks to BestFriends, Operation PetSnip, Brenda, Jessica, and our entire community for the tremendous support that has made 30,000 sterilizations possible. We certainly are on the path to a world with No More Homeless Pets.
