Can't volunteer on Catnip Sundays?

getting nipped

Have transportation and want to help?

How about trapping?

Every month we are forced to turn away caregivers and their strays because they are unable to transport their cats to the clinic.

We DESPERATELY need trap volunteers who are available to set traps on Saturday night and transport trapped cats to the Sunday clinic. We will recover and return the cats for you.

Operation Catnip will supply you with all the information and equipment you need!

We have a new grant funding TNR missions on weekdays between OC clinics too! Let us know if you can help.

Lets Fix Some Ferals! November 8th, 2009

Greetings OC Supporters!

It is time to help our community's homeless cats. You can make a difference! On Sunday, November 8th, we will be sterilizing cats in an effort to humanely stop feral cat overpopulation.

We need you!

We need clinic volunteers and ferals to fix!

You can also help us spread the word by mouth, email, Facebook, Twitter, or however you do it best.

As always a delicious lunch will be provided to all clinic volunteers. Help make this lunch possible by bringing a food item - contact operationcatnip@nmhp.net to see what is needed.

We look forward to seeing you Sunday, November 8th!

There's No Such Thing as a Free Lunch

sandwichesWe know you don't carry cash...

So we wanted to give you a heads-up.
It has been a long time since OC needed to buy lunch for volunteers. The cats that we have been able to sterilize because of that savings are grateful!

A volunteer herself, Judy Angly, has been purchasing ingredients and assembling sandwiches and hot lunches for OC for a while now. With the rising cost of food it is increasingly more difficult.

If you enjoy some of the provided luch at the November clinic, please put .50 cents in the donation jar at the lunch table so that we can buy supplies for Judy to make luch next month. If every volunteer donated $1 we could have homemade barbecue and fresh salad next month instead of sandwhiches or beans and rice. Its up to all of you.

OC would like to keep feeding its volunteers and a small donation for homemade food is a healthy and sustainable way to do that without using the limited and precious funds we have for fixing ferals. OC would love to hear your suggestions! Let us know what you think.
