Did you know?

An adult female can have her first litter earlier than 10 months old and will typically have one litter per year for her entire life.

The average litter size is 4 kittens, 3 of which are likely to die before the age of 6 months.

Sterilization offers females a much easier life!

Greetings!

Your next chance to help the homeless cats is right around the corner! On Sunday, March 15th, we will need more than 80 volunteers to make this clinic a success. The March clinic is especially important because kitten season is fast approaching. We must sterilize as many cats as possible to prevent thousands of homeless kittens from being born!

News Flash!
NMHP logo

Many of you have heard rumors buzzing that Operation Catnip is no longer its own entity but is a project under the umbrella group, No More Homeless Pets, Inc.

The rumors are true!

We are very excited to be part of such a progressive coalition. The current Operation Catnip activities will continue without change for now.  No More Homeless Pets will be establishing a high volume, low cost spay/neuter facility in Gainesville.  We hope to expand our feral cat program beyond the monthly clinic as early as next year.

Please visit our new website and make suggestions! We need your input! E-mail the OC Coordinator at operationcatnip@nmhp.net.
