Hi Everyone!

We have a lot of exciting news this month at Dogtopia. 
 
Regina, our General Manager, has a few letters to add to her name.  She recently passed the first level, CPCT, Certified Pet Care Technician, on her way to CKO, Certified Kennel Operator.  A CKO is recognized as the leading facility operator in the industry and only a handful make it to that level.  Please tell her congratulations and good luck on the next level.  
 
If you are looking for something to do at the end of the month, my friends at Anderson Photography are holding a show from Memorial day to July 5th with a reception on May 30 at Barrel Oak Winery (BOW).  My good friend Bristow (pictured right), who I enjoy chasing a kong or two in the toybox, will be one of the dogs on display.  My Dad and I are big fans of BOW. They are VERY dog friendly and when Dad and I go he sits on the patio and throws a tennis ball down the hill and takes a sip of wine, I'll bring back the ball and he'll throw it down the hill and take another sip of wine.....
 
My training is going well for the upcoming Iam's World Championship Doggie Dash.  We have a group of fellow doggie athletes (see below) who've been helping me work hard.  My friend Max, a whippet mix, has been great to pace my tempo runs and Riley, a lab mix, has been super in steady runs.  Copper, Sid and Reign are always around to cheer me on.  A big thanks to Dr. Nelson, the Jillian Michaels of dogs and the driving force of Pawsitively Fit at Alexandria Animal Hospital, for keeping me healthy leading up to the race.  If you are looking for some motivation to get in shape the Waterfront Festival 5k is coming up (see below) and we are proud sponsors of the Doggie Division.
