The Weekly Shout-out
Ministry Stories from around the Conference
Johnson Memorial UMC in Huntington offers a year-round devotional ministry. Devotionals are written by the congregation (and some great guest writers), and emailed to subscribers daily during Lent and Advent. They are sent weekly the rest of the year. Subscribe (it's free!) by sending an email to JMDevotional@yahoo.com.
More than 60 teens and adults from First UMC in Sistersville, W. Va. were 'Praising Jesus' through scripture reading, prayer and worship last month. The teens danced to contemporary Christian music and shared their testimonies or played games that revealed issues they were facing in today's society.
We'd love to shout out your ministry! Post on our Facebook page to let us know what your church or ministry is doing to show the light of Christ to the world: facebook.com/wvumc. Or, drop an e-mail to wvumc@wvumc.org.
