Appointment List

Reading pastoral appointments at Conference used to be the way a pastor found out if they were moving.  Now, most appointments are known well before Conference begins.  The appointment record for 2010-11 is now online; download it here.

School of Christian Mission

Women, men, youth, clergy, laity, United Methodists and non-United Methodists will meet at West Virginia Wesleyan College July 22-24 for School of Christian Mission (SOCM).

Rev. Dr. Bill Wilson, Director of Connectional Ministries in the WV Conference and Assistant to Bishop Lyght, will lead the study on 1 John. "Studies at SOCM are one of the best adult
education programs available." Wilson said, "The studies challenge me to read and study areas that I would not have otherwise read in my formation as disciple of Jesus today in mission."

Rev. Bob Wilkins, Director of United Methodist Appalachian Ministry Network, will lead the study on ministry
and mission. "Having worked with West Virginia mission programs for over twenty years I have come to appreciate
the strong relationship with successful mission ministries and
United Methodist Women." Wilkins said, "I have participated in district meetings for many years and I have learned a great deal about and from the UMW."
