If you've been thinking about buying an Africa University Choir CD as a Christmas gift, please place your order this week.  The CD is a professionally produced recording featuring selections from the choir's June 2009 performance at the Clay Center in Charleston.  CD's are $20 and include a donation to the AU Scholarship Fund.

Conference Youth Raise Funds for CCPI
Central Conference PensionLast month, conference youth raised $631 for the Central Conference Pension Initiative.  "We feel our emphasis on CCPI brings heightened awareness to the issue," said CCYM president Connor Kenaston.  "It's important young people see the world beyond our daily routine."

Work Teams Needed!
Recovery efforts continue in Wyoming and Mingo Counties from the severe flooding of MayFlood waters in the yard of Pineville UMC member Melinda Vance 2009.  Work teams in the spring and summer are needed to aid in this effort.  If your church or group is interested in sending a team, please contact Conference Disaster Relief Coordinators Dan and Sue Lowther.

Church Remittances Deadline/2010 Mileage Rate

Please note the following from the Conference Treasurer's Office:

Beginning January 1, 2010, the rate for mileage reimbursement will be .50/mile.

The deadline for 2009 Church Remittances is 4:30 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2010.
