K9Splash! a Success
The Weekend That Went to the Dogs
The hundreds of dogs and their owners who attended the dog swim on August 25/26 at Bever Park Pool had a great time, even though the rain that Sunday may have dampened the fun for some of the people (but definitely not for the dogs). Enjoy these pictures, courtesy of Kris Ambroson. |

K9 Acres Dog Park
Please remember that the new off-leash park, K9 Acres, IS NOT YET OPEN FOR USE. Park neighbors have complained that people have been using the new park. The City had agreed to put in a vegetative buffer between the neighbors and the park, and it is not finished. The Parks and Recreation Department has posted signs that the park is not open and has padlocked the entrances. We have to wait until everything is finished and ready to go. If you know of people using the new park, please tell them to wait. We have been waiting a long time, but we are getting closer. Once the grass grows and all the plantings are done, the park will be ready. When it is ready to use, we will have a huge grand opening! |
