| Did You Know? |
During the first half of calendar year 2009, the Smiles Across MN-Duluth program helped a total of 783 children in our schools with dental cleanings and other services. Of these children, approximately 75% are enrolled in public insurance, 24% received sliding fee or free care and fewer than 1% had private insurance. Over 80% were referred to Lake Superior Community Health Clinic for follow-up care.
Taking care of dental problems of uninsured or underinsured children helps them focus during the school day without toothaches and unnecessary pain. This is a great reason to smile! To learn more about this program, click here. | |
