Greetings BUSC Members and Friends!
It's hard to believe that our Spring Season is upon us. Our teams wrapped up the Fall 2009 Season with many successes. As you know, our March into Cups Tournament is March 20-21st. Please help spread the word, Encourage Sponsorship, and get ready for some great competition! This is sure to be another successful and fun tournament. Our next Coaches and Managers' meeting is Thursday, January 28th.

Fall 2009 Success Stories

U09F Buckingham Bansheess
Our U9 Girls BU Banshees had
a fun and successful fall season. In ICSL league play they went 8 wins and 2
close losses outscoring opponents 31 goals for and only 4 against. They took
second place in the division and will be moving up to the Top division next
year. They also had good success and a lot of fun at several tournaments
winning the Colleen Reilly Horsham tournament, taking runner up at the Al
Perlini (Warminster) and Runners up again at the Cape May George Pratt
Tournament. The Cape May weekend was a blast finishing up with a beautiful day
Sunday and many of the Girls hit the boardwalk all afternoon for food, rides
and all around good time.

U09M Buckingham Crashers
The U-9 Boys Crashers ended their
first season with an extremely impressive performance at the Deep Run Turkey
Classic tournament. The boys finished the tournament with 5 consecutive halves
of shutout play and finished as runner-up with a 3-1 record. They earned
beautiful trophies with a combination of outstanding defense, goalkeeping and
opportunistic scoring. The Crashers scored more goals in their last 3 games of
the tournament (11) than they had in their previous 6 games. The boys (and
their parents!) are fired up for continued success this winter.

U10M Buckingham Blast
U-10 Boys, Buckingham Blast
were Undefeated in Division 1. Their
record of 9-0-1 - helped them achieve First Place. The team is coached by Bryan Rosica
and Jim Rosica.

U10M Buckingham Force
The U10 Force Boys coached by Mr Schloeffel and Mr Lott Earned 2nd place in the Inter-County
Soccer League, Fall Season.

U11F Buckingham Flash
Coaches: Jake Morris, Neil Ahearn, Jeff Pursell
The Buckingham Flash won the Western Lehigh Fall Classic going 4-0
with wins against Westmont, Boyertown, Haverford and Montgomery.
The Buckingham Flash finished the regular season 8-0 in the PAGS
Championship division. In the playoffs the Flash defeated Lionville in the
semifinal but lost to Lehigh
Valley in a well played
championship game. Total team effort on a great Fall season

U11M Buckingham Vipers
This past Fall, the U11 Buckingham Boys Vipers participated in the Lou Ramos, Battle at Hilltop and the Deep Run Turkey Tournaments. They finished strong, taking 2nd place in each of these tournaments! Their ICSL Record was 6-2-2, achieving 3rd place. Way to Go Vipers!

U12F Buckingham Heat
The U12 Female Heat coached by Kristian
Bates & Alan Galow won the ICSL Elite
Division with a record of 7 wins, 1 Loss & 2 Ties.

U13F Buckingham Hurricanes
The Hurricanes went into the Fall
season playing in the PAGS League for the first time. They did really
well, winning all the regular season games with the exception of one, which
they tied. They lost in the post-season semi-final game.
However, they ended their season with the most points in their
division.
We have 8 girls from our team, that
are still in the running for positions for the 1996 and 1997 ODP girls
teams.

U13F Buckingham Blue Lightning
The
U13F Buckingham Blue Lightning played in the 2009 Deep Run Turkey
Tournament. The girls were evenly matched with their opponent, won their
bracket by breaking a three way tie with a fantastic win against Deep Run, and
finished the tournament as Finalist to cap off the Thanksgiving Holiday.
The Blue Lightning will head indoors for winter training and will be entering
several indoor competitions to get ready for the Outdoor Cups and Buckingham
March into Cups tournament.

Buckingham United Fusion
won the U-14 division of the George Pratt Memorial Soccer Tournament in Cape

Lighting Plan Approved for Herbst Sports Complex!  On Tuesday, January 19th, the Plumstead Board of Supervisors voted to approve the lighting plans for Herbst Sports Complex. The plan includes the Basketball courts and 4 of the fields located closest to route 413. Thanks for everyone's support on this issue.

Beef and Beer Fundraiser
There is no better way to shake off the Winter Blues than to
get together with your friends for a great night out! The Buckingham Hurricanes
are having a Beef & Beer on February 27th from 7-11pm at the
Plumstead Firehouse on Swamp Road. The cost is $30 per person or $50 per
