Summer Success Stories

BUSC added 4 new teams this summer!  The U9 Girls 2 teams are the Fury and Banshees.  The U9 Boys teams are the Renegades and the Crashers.  Welcome teams and good luck to everyone!

BUSC is proud to welcome 3 New Head Coaches to our club.  They are Paul Krumenacker (U9 Girls Fury), Bill Gibbons (U9 Boys Renegades), Drew Barlow (U9 Boys Crashers).  The U9 Girls hail the veteran, Ed Beedle.  It looks like our new teams are off to a great start!

The U9 Boys Crashers and The Renegades both participated in the Lou Ramos Classic in Lehigh County. The Crashers entered the Finals undefeated in 1st place before losing a tough Championship Game. The runner-up showing allowed the players to obtain the 1st Medals of their careers and every single player was excited and deserving.

The U9 Girls Fury and Banshees both participated in the Colleen Reilly Tournament in Horsham.

The Banshees went undefeated in 4 games scoring 12 and allowing only 2. The Banshees also was a Finalist w/ 3 wins and 1 loss at the Labor Day Al Perlini Tournament in Warminster only giving up 3 Goals in 4 games.

The U11 Girls - Flash team came in second place at the Colleen Reilly Tournament with a 3-1 record. Playing in the top group the Flash beat Deep Run 3-0, Horsham 5-1, and Montgomery 2-0 and suffered a tough 1-0 loss to Southampton. A Great team effort.

The  U11 Boys Vipers
participated in 2 tournaments this summer along with the Sarah Parvin Memorial Soccerfest , which is a 24 hour 6v6, in Quakertown. BUSC also had an Over 30 team entered in the competitive group in Quakertown which was a mix of various coaches and parents from BUSC teams.  The Vipers took runner up in both The Battle at Hilltop in Collegeville and the Lou Ramos Classic in Lehigh, playing in the Premier division.  They only allowed 2 goals against in the Battle at Hilltop.  The Vipers also had their annual team training camp with the KiXX.  This year their trainer was team captain, Pat Morris!

The U12 Girls - Storm finished 2nd at the Colleen Reilly Tournament in Horsham.  The Storm gave up only one goal and shutout two of their opponents in pool play to advance to the championship game.

Deep Run TournamentDeep Run Tournament  U12 Champions: 3 wins & 1 loss, 10 goals for & 5 goals against also in May 2009 Epic Tournament Champions: 4 wins & 1 tie, 11 goals for & 3 goals against

U13 Girls - Hurricanes coached by Sue Griffith, played in the LVYSL tournament in June.  The came in 2nd, behind the HMMS, who is #2 in the state. We had 2 girls (Meredith Lahetta and Lauren Griffith) make it to the ODP regional camp in Rhode Island in July.   The team also participated in the Sarah Parvin overnight tournament in August.  This tournament benefits the American Cancer Society.  Our player, Morgan Mysza, won the first ever Individual Spirit Award for this tournament.  The girls on our team also went to overnight camp, either EPYSA's at Immaculata College or UK Elite's at The George School.  They also did a team camp, with Pat Morris, of the Philadelphia KIXX.  This was their start of the upcoming U13 season going into PAGS.

The U14 Boys - Fusion took 2nd place at the

Labor Day Whitewater Challenge in the Pocono's.  What a terrific way to start off our fall season.

The U16 Girls - Blitz  played in the

Beach Blast Tournament in Wildwood, N.J. in June.  We were the champions in one division and came in third in the other division.

The U18 Girls - Comets finished as Finalist in the Varsity Division of the

Warminster Perlini Tournament without conceding a goal in the 4 games that they played (3 wins  - 3-0, 3-0, 5-0 - and a tie, 0-0).  Great play, both offensively and defensively, was exhibited by all of the Comets players in all facets of the games.  Particular highlights for the team were the Maui Wowi's that were enjoyed by all!  A big thanks to all of the players, coaches, and parents for displaying great sportsmanship and exuding positive support!

Player Development Program Chris Lugossy

This inaugural program was very popular with our U10-12 players.  Our own Chris Lugossy along with Bert Eckelmeyer and Jake Ullmann.  The program was comprised of 4 sessions in June.  Kids were able to take all 4 sessions or just pick and choose.  The cost was only $10 per session and all proceeds benefited our club!
The sessions included: running with the ball, change of direction, and ball striking; as well as learning 3 foundation attacking moves while going to goal.

Thank you Chris, Bert and Jake for your dedication to our players and BUSC!
