IN THE LOOP
JULY 2008
Dear ( ),

Congratulations on your new co-op job!

For those of you who don't know about Co-op Connections, we are an office created through student affairs that provides students with support and services designed to help with the unique issues and transitions related to the co-op experience.

Whether you are working for a company in Massachusetts or out-of-state, Co-op Connections keeps you up to date with what's going on in the Northeastern community. One of the ways we work to achieve this is by sending you this monthly newsletter! Read In The Loop this semester to gain important information and reminders such as when to register for classes or housing deadlines, as well as upcoming events happening in your area. Is there something you'd like us to include in the next issue? Just send us an e-mail and let us know!

HOUSING

Northeastern Housing

If you currently have a Summer II housing assignment, but were not granted a Fall housing assignment, it is important that you find off campus housing accommodations for the fall term. You must move out of your Summer Housing Assignment no later than 9pm on August 15th. Because the summer to fall transition starts on August 16th it is not possible to grant you an extension for your Summer II bed space.

If you are having difficulties finding a place to live for the end of August, you can contact The Office of Housing and Residential Life to discuss one of 2 choices:

1.       vacate your Summer II housing (and move home or to an off-campus apartment) by August 1st, they will pro-rate (reimburse you) the remainder of your Summer Session II housing charge based on your early move-out date or;

2.     consolidate you into a section of Willis Hall provided that you move all of your belongings out of your Summer II assignment no later than August 15th. Please take note that if you are granted permission to move into Willis Hall, you may stay there no later than 9am on September 1st.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office of Housing and Residential Life by calling 617-373-2814, or by e-mail at housing@neu.edu.
