 Greetings!
A management report that holds valuable informations yet often gets overlooked is the Statement of Cash Flow report.  What it does, when properly prepared, is forecast the cash flow of the business.  Essentially it shows how much cash the company can expect to have in the coming months.

Head shot
The first thing that needs to be done to create this report is to complete a budget for the year.  The budget information will enable you to forecast the income of the company.  Once the net income, receivables and payables are forecasted, you can then use the Statement of Cash Flow report to forecast your cash for the year.

I combine information from QuickBooks (closed periods and budget data) and create the report in Excel.  You can see a sample Statement of Cash Flow Report at my website under archived pages or you can click on this link Example of Statement of Cash Flows

As a controller level accountant, I can provide management reports to help you run your business.

Regards,
Anne
