Here is a link to our last Furlough Video that Jeff Fountain put together for us.  He did an amazing job.  Enjoy!

Thank you!

Bonjour!  Well, the first order of business is, I guess we can't continue calling this newsletter Aixtreme Life??  Most of us keep up pretty well through Facebook, Twitter and other means, but I do want to keep in touch this way, as well.  So, we are thinking of a new name!

It's been an amazing five years of ministry and life in France, and now, for the time-being we are in America.  Denver, Colorado to be exact.  For how long?  We don't know.  I guess that is part of the journey with Christ that we have chosen.  We need to be out of France for at least one year, but then is it best to stay here or to go back?  It's wonderful being closer to friends and family again!  We just aren't sure that Jesus is finished with our time in France yet.

One thing we are sure of, is how grateful and thankful we are to all of you.  We love being in this journey with you!

We are continually told that is very normal to find it difficult to figure out life in our home culture right now, and that it will take a few years to adjust, but that does not make it any easier.  It feels strange to feel strange in our own "home"!  Thank you for your continued support and love.  Please pray with us as 1st Timothy 4:4 says, "Everything God created is good, and to be received with thanks. Nothing is to be sneered at and thrown out."  We want to receive each piece of this journey God gives us with thankfulness!

Shepherding God's people toward their Calling

My recruiting role is going extremely well.  God continues to bring me in contact with more and more people who have a desire to serve God through Christian Associates!  Wild that even in this economy, people are willing and able to fundraise, and Go.  While I loved pastoring a church and God used me at [iccp], I have always believed my strengths regarding Kingdom endeavors lay on the operations side and recruiting is a passion of mine.  Leading the recruiting efforts of a $4M, 225+ person missionary organization with 51 missional initiatives on 5 continents is a wonderful challenge.

This is a ministerial position, with the focus of pastoring and shepherding people, helping them discern God's calling on their life, and sending them out to the nations!  God is honoring the prayers and efforts of all of you who support our ministry through prayer and finances.  So far this year, God has used our recruiting efforts to add 24 missionaries to our staff, of which 13 have already landed in the field.  We have had 91 people go through our Intro to CA, 60 have turned in applications, 35 have been through our Engage Assessment Weeks, 30 have been offered positions within CA, 24 have accepted and 13 people have begun work in the field, following Jesus' call to make disciples of all nations.

And remember these people are all trusting God to provide their support, just like Megan and I are; and in today's economy (by human standards) that is no small feat.

Thank You for supporting us as we continue being amazed at how God uses you to allow His work to be done through us.

A Note of Encouragement

~ from friends in Aix

You all have left a legacy of contacts here, all changed because of the way that God has made you, and your impact on their lives! I'm sure that you are finding things tough at the moment, despite the pleasure of being able to do everything in English! But take comfort in what each of you achieved here and what great plans God has in store for you. Love to all. xx ~ Jane

Pastor Teal... I hope you and your family are well settled in Colorado!  Thousands of people are missing you and your family in France!  What idea to leave France!  You are wonderful and I don't have the words to thank you.  Hopefully, rewards would be for later on, in Heaven!  ~ A friend in France
