Fun & Funny Stuff
Here's the link to a blog we've been reading the last couple months... Stuff Christians Like

Check it out.  The guy is hilarious!

Hello,    - Joyeuses Pâques !  Here are a few pics from Easter past and Easter present...

We had a great time last weekend at our annual Easter Picnic. The vision behind the Easter Picnic is it to a be a place of connection for anyone and everyone. We had some great conversations with a number of people who don't come to our Sunday Service.  Check out this amazing video that our friend, Jeff Fountain, put together of this year's picnic.  http://www.iccpaix.org/Easter_picnic_2009.html  It is a large file so let it buffer some before you begin to play it.

This week we had our Maundy Thursday service. It's a very powerful night of worship and sensory reflection on the Last Supper, the washing of the disciples feet, the agony in the garden and the betrayal of Jesus. There are different stations, each one allowing you to reflect on a different aspect of the night before Jesus gave Himself for us.

Tomorrow we will have our Easter Sunrise Service (in just a few hours actually...), then will attend our French church service, then participate in a proclamation of unity between all the churches in Aix-en-Provence - catholic and protestant and finish the day together as a team enjoying Easter.  Monday we will hike up Mont Sainte Victoire together as a church and eat lunch at the top of the mountain.  It takes about 3 hours to climb it, so it's a good hike.

I am up in the wee hours because I want to get this out to you and ask you to intercede on our behalf in prayer.

Please Pray for each of these events.  Pray that God would use this time of connection to draw people unto Himself.  Pray for new and renewed connection.  Pray for conversations, commitments and community.

Please continue to pray for us and our finances in this difficult economy.  We are truly feeling the effects on our supporter base.  Please know that we Thank You and appreciate you so much for supporting us so generously through prayer, friendship and finances!

Uganda & Amazing Grace

Twice in the past month, I have got to sing Amazing Grace in unique circumstances.  The first was at the end of a wonderful evening celebrating my birthday.  We had about 60 people in our home for a BBQ and of course excellent music provided by my Muslim buddy from North Africa, Riadh.  After enjoying he and his friends' amazing drum and Tunisian bagpipe playing (it's actually just a goat with the legs tied off), we ended the night with a few of us singing Amazing Grace and the Lord's Prayer to the beat of Tunisian drums - VERY COOL!

Then a few days later I found myself 3 km into a cave and about 200 meters below the ground with 7 French friends (and yes, speaking all in French all day!), when in the complete silence and blackness of a massive cave, I was asked to sing a "religious song".  The cool thing about this is that most of these guys told me they were Atheists.  I was honored to get to hang out with them and blown away to get to share my faith in this way.

A team of ten people from [iccp] are going to Uganda on April 18! They will help with a building project and spend time caring for young children who have few (if any) family support. We are VERY excited and supportive of this team - led by my co-worker, Kerri Cole - as they continue building buildings and relationships previous teams from [ICCP] helped build.

Check out their fantastic website at www.francetouganda.com and please consider giving a tax-deductible gift through Christian Associates.  All of the details are located on their website.  It's fantastic that our small, transient church is moving in mission! Thank you for your continued support, prayers, and encouragement for the ministry in France.

May you live as Easter people.  He is Risen.  He is Risen indeed!

It may take a couple of minutes to download.

Thank you for your steadfast prayers, love and support.
