New FlowBlaster™ Accessory for Duct Blaster®
FlowBlaster AssembledMeasuring air flow of residential forced air registers can be a challenge.  The uneven pattern of air flow from typical residential registers and the relatively low register flow rates make accurate measurement difficult with traditional flow capture devices.  The Energy Conservatory has developed the FlowBlaster™ Capture Hood Accessory for the Duct Blaster® to accurately measure air flow in all residential applications.  The FlowBlaster is designed to measure supply, return and exhaust flow from 10 to 300 CFM.

The FlowBlaster works by adding necessary flow conditioning and then precisely adjusting the speed of the Duct Blaster Fan to compensate for the pressure loss through the conditioners.  The unique, patent-pending design compensates for variations of construction and is able to measure air flow more accurately than commercial capture hood devices that have been used in the residential market.
FlowBlaster Kit
The FlowBlaster works with your existing Duct Blaster Fan and DG-700 Pressure and Flow Gauge. The fan is powered by a new combination fan speed controller and rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery.  Set the DG-700 to Cruise, place the FlowBlaster to the grill and the fan will automatically adjust to read the correct value.  Your airflow measurement is complete in just seconds.  Accurate, quick readings with the reliability you expect from The Energy Conservatory.

The FlowBlaster sells for $1100 and includes everything you need to turn your Duct Blaster into a powered capture hood.  The kits are in stock now ready for shipment.

New Duct Blaster® Controller
DuctBlaster ControllerThe Duct Blaster® Duct Airtightness Testing
System is the industry standard for airtightness testing of ductwork.  Up until now, the Duct Blaster fan speed could only be adjusted manually.  With the New Duct Blaster Controller, we have added a Fan Speed Control Port.  This allows you to connect the Duct Blaster controller to the DG-700 Pressure and Flow Gauge's fan control jack for automated Cruise Control.

Whether you are conducting a total duct leakage test and need to Cruise 25 Pa, or are conducting a duct leakage to outside test and need to Cruise zero with the Duct Blaster fan, the new controller makes testing faster and more efficient.

The new Duct Blaster Fan Speed Controller is $225.  Controllers are available and in stock.
