TECLOG2 - Free Data Logging Software

TECLOG2 is The Energy Conservatory's latest data logging program for Windows® based computers. TECLOG2 is designed to monitor and store data from up to 16 DG-700's, TECLOG2 Screen 1DG-500's or APT's devices, and to provide computerized control of multiple Minneapolis Blower Door fans.

The program provides easy control of data acquisition parameters including sampling rates, auto-zero intervals and Blower Door fan flows. In addition, TECLOG2 includes a new feature to calculate and display multi-fan airtightness test results, making it ideal for testing in large commercial buildings. Data viewing capabilities include auto-axis rescaling, adjustable graph scrolling, quick graph zooming, and a moveable measurement line for determining the numeric value and time for individual data points. A statistics utility can be used with stored data files to provide basic statistical summaries for the entire file, or for a user selected portion of the data. Stored data files can also be exported for analysis in standard spreadsheet and statistical programs.

When conducting airtightness tests of a larTECLOG2 Screen 2ge building, TECLOG2 can be run from a single laptop computer located in a central part of the building. The DG-700 gauges being used for the airtightness test can all be connected to the single laptop computer using CAT5 cable and some additional hardware (DB9 to USB Hub, and DB9 to CAT5 adapters). We have tested the CAT5 cabling at distances of 4,000 feet with no loss of signal.  This is important when trying to control fan speeds and record building pressures in various locations within a building.

The Energy Conservatory has both 2 and 3 fan Blower Door systems available. Pricing for these multi-fan systems is included on our on-line price list.
