Trolley a Hit at Bridal Show
 Congratulations to Katherine Caskey of Ridgeland. The bride-to-be stopped by our booth at last weekend's Premier Bridal Show in Jackson, registered, and won our free one hour wedding charter! Many other brides stopped by as well, and will receive a $50 off coupon for a future charter.
We enjoyed meeting you and hope you will consider the many possibilities for involving the Fondren Express in your wedding plans! Runners and Riders Sing the Blues, Trolley Praises
 For a second year, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Blues Marathon ran through Fondren last weekend, and once again, we were proud to be a part. With 2009 runners for the 2009 edition, this year's event was even
better than last year's. It was great to see people from around the
country and the world converged on Fondren for a day of fun and community. The positive economic impact was felt by
merchants and restaurants who played host to this year's crop of participants, volunteers, and supporters.
Good Samaritan Center executive director Kathy Clem said after watching the start of the race from practically her own front door, she had the pleasure to tour
the race route on the trolley. Supporters and sponsors "ran" the course aboard the Fondren Express. Clem went on to say that it was an exciting way to
experience the event and cheer the participants. She added "as a marathoner
myself, I was inspired by the diversity of those running the race". The Fondren Express also provided transportation for runners from the Cabot Lodge to the start/finish line, as well as helping locals alleviate parking concerns, shuttling them to the parking lot at Mississippi Veteran's Memorial Stadium.

Welty Centennial Celebration Includes Trolley Tours
Hop aboard and step back in time with a nostalgic trolley ride through Jackson to celebrate the centennial of the great Mississippi writer Eudora Welty. We invite you to celebrate by touring her home, exploring her town, and enjoying commemorative
events April 14-18.
The Fondren Express will provide transportation for the Eudora Welty experience stops with a guide on board to enhance the tour. Day packages are available and include trolley transportation and touring, lunch at the Fairview Inn, and a Welty photography exhibit at the Mississippi Museum of Art. 'Grandest Opening Ever' Set For January 17th
