Student Media publications honored
OU DailyThe Oklahoma Daily and OUDaily.com won three Silver Crown awards at the National College Media Convention over spring break in New York City.

The print edition won Silver Crowns for both the fall 2010 and spring 2011 semesters, when Gaylord alumna Meredith Moriak was editor in chief. New look for OUDaily.com
Journalism senior Chris Lusk spent his spring break making significant improvements to the appearance and functionality of OUDaily.com, the website of The Oklahoma Daily.

His changes include a bright yellow box on the home page detailing The Daily's open records request and a newly activated corrections tab where readers can see all the paper's published corrections. (Corrections are also attach to the individual stories in the archive.)

Spellbound anthology published
The professional writing student anthology, "Spellbound: Tales of the Fantastic," has been published on the Amazon Kindle Store.

From the description: Ghosts ... ancient dragons ... werewolves ... the rituals of ancient Mexico ... allow these sixteen short stories to enthrall you and bind you in their spells. Ranging from traditional fantasy to urban tales of the supernatural, this anthology written by professional writing students at the University of Oklahoma serves up suspense, grim scares, and wry humor.

Download your copy for just $2.99.

Congrats to Kylee Gwartney for publishing her first novel on Kindle!

From the description: All Brynn, Claudia, and Norah wanted was a normal sophomore year. You know, homecoming, photography class, watching Audrey Hepburn movies - that sort of thing. Well, it's good they didn't know what was coming because they would never have had the guts to show up. It's pretty crazy what they went through to try to save the place - their school, that is. They can't say they didn't have fun ....even if they did have to steal a BMW.

P.S. Justin Crew really is as hot as everyone says. They would know.

Download it and give her a review!
