A professional jewelry designer seeks a qualified individual to fulfill an internship for arts management; duties include publicity, marketing, and professional development. Unpaid for course credit.
Task and projects are as follows:
- Public Relations - write pitch letters and work on creating, compiling, and sending press kits, and e-mails to garner media coverage. Research prospective media venues.
- Marketing research and outreach - research galleries, stores, exhibitions, reps, and other visual arts opportunities. Contact perspective leads. Create and send promotional material.
- Social Media - Concept, create, post and respond to content on Facebook, Twitter, social media sites.
- Blog - Update website blog. Create content.
- Website -- Update news, and product listings
- Product Photography -- Photograph work, size/organize digital images, update catalog, and line sheet.
This position requires someone with strong research skills who is able to discern venues relevant to the artist's work and professional goals. The candidate must be self motivated, and someone who works well independently. Must be available to work 15-20 hours/week (flexible schedule, some hours in the office, might be asked to help at an art show); Good phone and e-mail etiquette are required, knowledge of i-photo, Photoshop, and In Design are a plus.

Warner Bros. Writers' Workshop It's that time of year again! The Warner Bros. Writers' Workshop will be taking submissions during the month of May. From Tuesday May 1, 2012 through Friday June 1, 2012 our new online application feature will be active for writers to begin their submission process. Applications must be postmarked and uploaded online before 11:59pm on June 1, 2012 to be accepted. We suggest you not wait until the last minute though as the online submission process takes longer then a minute. Please note that you can only submit a spec that is listed on our online dropdown menu and we know that first year shows are not listed. United Way of Norman
Job Title: Campaign Assistant Intern
Job Description: United Way of Norman is now recruiting 2 OU students for an unpaid summer/fall internship.
Interns will work on the community wide fundraising campaign which kicks off on July 11, 2012 and ends on December 7, 2012. Interns will assist the Vice President of Resource Development and other campaign staff with duties related to the United Way of Norman's community wide fundraising campaign. Interns will gain hands on experience in non-profit fundraising and campaigning, event planning, donor relations and public speaking.
Assigned Tasks:
- Serve on the OU campaign team to help with special events & student awareness
- Organize and assemble campaign materials for employee drives
- Organize mailings for Corporate and Residential division donor solicitations
- Assist with all campaign events: invitations, decorating, planning and follow up
- Help with donor thank you letters
- Attend campaign cabinet meetings to learn about United Way's campaign structure
- Call on overdue accounts in the Employee Drives division
- File donor pledge cards
Qualifications: Currently enrolled OU student seeking a career in Non-Profit Management, HR, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing. Students looking to earn a graded internship through academic requirements are preferred. Personal Traits:
