Agency Lead
ership Academy, JMC 4970-340
Calling all public relations underclassmen! This is your opportunity to jump start your Lindsey + Asp experience! Consider enrolling in the summer Leadership Academy. This course is open to everyone, but focused specifically on underclassmen. There are no prerequisites. You'll learn about Agency operations and leadership and working on the Agency's critical clients over the summer.

One of the special events that only happens during the Leadership Academy is the weekly lecture series. Each week, students have the opportunity to talk with, either in person or via Skype, some of the top names in the business. Last year's roster of speakers included John Paluszek, Senior Counsel, Ketchum and Ron Culp, then Partner and Lead, North American operations, Ketchum. The formal course is held during the July block, but you'll get started working with clients in late May.

Applications for Leadership Academy may be obtained from Kathy Sawyer and Prof. Pritchard. The Leadership Academy is NOT required to participate in the Agency for Fall 2012.

Work in the Agency for Fall 2012
The agency is also accepting applications for the Fall semester for both the advertising and public relations teams. Pick up applications from Kathy Sawyer for advertising or Melanie Adams for public relations. BEM or broadcasting students wishing to provide video/commercial production should see Kathy Sawyer.

Application deadline extended to March 30!

Congratulations to Alyssa Grimely...
... for publishing her crime story, "The Homecoming," to Kindle.

The Homecoming
Jack Dupont is a big-city detective with small town roots he'd rather forget. Guilt brings him back home after nearly ten years, but an unusual crime will force him to look at his old life in a different light.

Announcing the NMF5 MUSIC Video Contest!
SUBMIT your MUSIC VIDEOS, FOR FREE! The NMF5 music video contest is now taking submissions through April 13

This year all submitted music videos will be judged by 3 super swell peeps: Vahid Farzaneh of Freestyle Productions, C...acky Poarch, former deadCENTER executive director, and Mike Hosty, local singer and songwriter.

All videos meeting the guidelines will be judged, but Pro's Pick (jury prize), People's Pick (audience favorite), and Okie Pick (Oklahoma favorite) will be screened on the Main Stage during NMF in front of thousands of music fans before the NMF5 headliner, Portugal the Man, performs.

Based on judges scores, the top 10 videos will play throughout the festival and will be entered into the People's Pick and Okie Pick categories. Please visit the Norman Music Festival site for more information on the festival and news. Also, Pro's Pick, People's Pick and Okie Pick winners will receive a sponsored prize with their award.

All music videos must be original. Due to copyright issues only original videos qualify.

All genres will be considered. Only 2 submissions per director.

The Norman Music Festival is a family oriented event that is free and open to the public. Videos containing nudity, violence, and/or profanity will not be accepted.

Most important, please ensure the video/audio is of high quality. Low quality video/audio may prohibit NMF from playing a video during the festival.
