THE WIRE AT THE NORMAN MUSIC FESTIVAL

wire
OU's only student radio station, The Wire, broadcast live from the first Norman Music Festival. Students Jimmy Fraser, Mark Alexin, and John Cope brought listeners live interviews and coverage of the landmark event.

The Wire broadcast the remotes over wire.ou.edu and AM1710 in Norman. The event coverage was made possible through a new technology allowing the audio signal to be sent via the web to The Wire's OMU studio, where it was then integrated into Wire programming. Students Kelly Bach, Carly Roenbrook, Jimmy Fraser, Mark Alexin, and John Cope all participated in the event and helped promote the event outside Norman.

CHANGE THE WORLD THROUGH SPRING CLEANING

Want to make a difference to fellow communicators halfway around the world? Take a moment to do a little spring cleaning and donate some of your communications resources (textbooks, manuals, CDs, DVDs) for the first media and communication resource center in Ethiopia.

The resource center, sponsored by the Population Media Center (PMC), is open to any professional communicator in Ethiopia and serves the general business community in Addis Ababa. The goal of the Population Media Center is to improve the health and well-being of people around the world through the use of entertainment-education strategies. To learn more, visit Population Media.

The donation box is in front of Dr. Natalie Tindall's office (Gaylord Room 3021).
