FAMOUS GRAPHIC DESIGNER, STEFAN SAGMEISTER ON CAMPUS TOMORROW

The world-famous Austrian-born designer, Stefan Sagmeister, is coming to OU tomorrow, March 11. Sagmeister owns Sagmeister Inc., a graphic design company in New York City and has just released his latest book: The Things I've Learned in My Life So Far. He will be giving a lecture that starts at 3:30 p.m. in the Fred Jones Museum of Art.

You can now watch TV4OU
content on the web at http://tv4.ou.edu/fourplay.html . This link provides a live, streaming look at what's on TV4OU's cable channel, here in Norman. Tell your friends and relatives they can see your work each day, throughout the day, on their computer.

Shows such as The Set (OBEA winner and BEA winner), OUr Sports Pad, OU Nightly (OBEA winner), and new shows as they premiere, will be featured on this Web site. Content repeats throughout the day, so if you miss one showing, you'll have other opportunities to catch it. This is a 24/7/365 service of TV4OU & The Wire.




DEGREE ORIENTATION DATES

The first enrollment window opens April 6 but you must be advised PRIOR to enrolling. Students should schedule an  appointment at iadvise.

  • Undergraduates with up to 60 credit hours, must participate in a Degree Orientation session with your adviser.
  • Undergraduates with more than 60 credit hours may be advised via e-mail with your adviser.

TWO MAY INTERCESSION COURSES IN ADVERTISING

Psychology in Advertising Creative
Professor Doyle Yoon will be teaching a new advertising elective course, Psychology in Advertising Creative (JMC 4970/5970), in May Intercession. The course will familarize you with the psychological processes which underlie persuasive communication and advertising creativity. If you are interested or have questions contact Professor Doyle Yoon.

Interactive Advertising
This course is designed to give the advertising student an overall understanding of the development of advertising messages, strategies and executions for the internet and the integration of those messages into a traditional advertising campaign. Chad Taylor and Ryan Fightmaster (and other Wire students) will be giving the play-by-play and color commentary on OU's own sultans of swat. Listen for LIVE remotes from around Norman as Wire DJs get out and about this spring.
