| TWO OPPORTUNITIES TO HEAR PULITZER PRIZE WINNING AUTHOR NICHOLAS KRISTOF MARCH 3
Kristof will visit the School of International and Area Studies to discuss his book, "First Genocide of the 21st Century: Why Darfur Matters to Us". The discussion is presented as part of a symposium on global security.
Monday, March 3 Sam Noble Museum of Natural History Kerr Auditorium Doors open at 7 p.m.
Prior to the symposium he will be holding a Q&A session with journalism students.

| DEGREE ORIENTATION DATES
The first enrollment window opens April 6 but Gaylord
College students must be advised PRIOR to enrolling. Students should schedule an advisment appointment at iadvise.
- For undergraduates
with up to 60 credit hours, you must participate in a Degree
Orientation session with your adviser.
- For undergraduates with more than 60 credit hours, you may be advised via e-mail with your adviser.

PRSSA-OU MEETING MARCH 5 GUEST SPEAKER: TIFFANY MONHOLLON
Join us for the next PRSSA-OU meeting March 5 at 9p.m. in the Hall of Fame Room, Gaylord Hall! Everyone is welcome.
The guest speaker will be Tiffany Monhollon, the corporate communications supervisor at Oklahoma City-based Express Personnel Services, Inc. Her seven years of experience range from non-profit to corporate. She's worked and written for a Fortune 500 company, an international missions organization, volunteer groups, university organizations, newspapers, start-up businesses and popular blogs.

OU Nightly
has been named 2007 Best Student Newscast by the Oklahoma Broadcast
EducatioN Association. The newscast can be seen Monday through Friday
live at 4:30 p.m. on TV4OU (Cox 4 Norman) with a rebroadcast at 9:30
p.m. The newscast can also now be viewed live at 4:30 p.m. Central via
the Web at http://tv4.ou.edu/fourplay.html

| THE OKLAHOMA ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS STUDENT DAY 2008
The Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Student Day 2008 is Friday, March 28 at the Cox Convention Center/Renaissance Hotel in Oklahoma City. Registration is free with a continental breakfast and a luncheon being served. Sessions include Clearer, Stronger Storytelling (TV News) and Tough Calls, Everyday Ethics (TV News) both with Al Tompkins of the Poynter Institute. Sessions are also included for Radio Managers and Sales Personnel. Gaylord College's OU Nightly was named 2007 Best Students Newscast by the OBEA. The OBEA Awards Ceremony follows in the afternoon.
On March 27 students are also invited to an informal resume tape critique from 3-5 p.m. at the same location. Contact Heather Spencer for more information.

GAYLORD STUDENTS AND FACULTY RECEIVE HONORS FROM BROADCAST EDUCATION ASSOCIATION
Five Gaylord College broadcasting students will receive honors from the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) in the BEA Festival of Media Arts. Gaylord College tied with one other school for the most awards received in the 2008 program and will receive awards in four of the six video categories at the joint BEA/NAB Convention in Las Vegas this April.
