| DEGREE ORIENTATION DATES
Gaylord
College students must be advised PRIOR to enrolling. For undergraduates
with up to 60 credit hours, you must participate in a Degree
Orientation session with your adviser. See list of sessions.
For undergraduates with more than 60 credit hours, you may be advised via e-mail with your adviser. See the advising page for the correct advisor for your major.

OU NIGHTLY IS BACK
OU Nightly is once again providing the  OU and Norman community
with live, local news each weekday at 4:30 p.m. Gaylord and other
students cover news and events that matter to their viewers. OU
Nightly, complete with weather forecasts and sports reports, live at
4:30 p.m. or its rebroadcast at 9:30 p.m. on TV4OU (Cox Cable channel
4).

| 2008 SUMMER STUDY ABROAD IN GERMANY
There
is still time to submit your application for the 2008 SPICE program!
SPICE is your chance to Study in Germany this summer. Students from
five U.S. and German universities participate in SPICE between June 16
and Aug. 15, 2008. Students will also visit Berlin in July. For more

VISIT DALLAS AND NYC WITH PRSSA
PRSSA-OU
is planning two professional trips to Dallas and New York City in
April. Students will visit leading public relations and communication
agencies. If you are interested in going to Dallas or NYC with

| MAY INTERCESSION: INTERACTIVE ADVERTISING
During
May intersession, David Tarpenning and Chris Krug will offer
Interactive Advertising: The Next New Thing! a course designed to show
the integration of interactive advertising into a traditional
campaign. Students who want to take Interactive Advertising should
sign up in advance for the 30 available seats. See Professor

GAYLORD COLLEGE STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS STUDENTS SHINE
Five
Gaylord College students were honored in New York City by the
American Advertising Federation as part of their Most Promising
Minority Students Program. Ad majors Tyler Allen, Loan Vu and Halley
Ralls, and PR majors Regina Greuel and Angela Tran spent the week
interviewing with recruiters, visiting advertising agencies and media
outlets...even enjoyed a presentation of "Hair Spray" on Broadway,
courtesy of Publicis. During the event, Loan Vu was also named to the AAF
Hall of Student Achievement, one of the first four students to be
inducted.
Gaylord College ad students Jarrod Higgins, Kelly Matthews, Adam Croom,
Krista Sanchez, Brian Wright, Andrew Vaughn and Scott Johnson will also
receive ADDY awards for their creative work during the ADDY celebration
February 23. Together, the students accounted for 13 student ADDYs in
this year's contest.
