Don't Forget the Teens !!!

As Save the Family gears up to send the children in our program back to school, we would like to remind all of our volunteers and donors that there are many teens in our program who are in need of school supplies.  Due to the generous support of the community we typically receive enough donations for the children in our program, but the teens often go without.

Now would be a perfect time to have your teens clean out their closets and donate their clothes to Save the Family; or maybe when you take your teen school shopping, you could ask them to pick out an outfit for a teen in our program.  We are also in need of school supplies (college ruled paper, pens, graphing calculators, etc) for our high school students.  We would like to receive all donations by July 25th. Please contact the Volunteer Department at [email protected] if you are interested in helping out.

Do your childred have toys at home that they don't play with anymore; or, is your workplace interested in doing a donation drive?

Save the Family is in need of new and gently used toys to restock our toy closet.  Although we receive plenty of toy donations around the holidays, we typically run low during the summer months.  Donate new or gently used children's toys, and they can become a birthday gift or a report card reward for a child at Save the Family!

If you would like to donate toys, Save the Family's donation center is located at 456 N. Vineyard in Mesa (Country Club, North of University) and is open M-F from 8:00-5:00PM.  If you have any questions, or would like to organize a large donation drive at your church or workplace, please contact the Volunteer Department at [email protected]

Snack/Lunch/Dinner Program

Throughout the summer months and school year, Save the Family hosts many classes for the children and families in our program.  Many of these classes are held during lunch or dinner time.  Save the Family relies on the generous support of volunteers to help us provide sack meals and snacks for the families.

This is an excellent volunteer opportunity because the snacks/lunches/dinners are prepared from your own home or workplace and are dropped off at our main office.  If you are interesting in sponsoring
snacks/lunches/dinners please contact the Volunteer Department at
[email protected]
and we will provide you with the most recent schedule of available dates and guideline for the meals.
