Search for wildlife on the Museum grounds and make animal crafts. At 11:00 am, Springfield storyteller Cathy Mosley will captivate children and their families with nature stories.
  • June 14th and 15th at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Illinois State Museum "Bob Steffan Summer Film Fest." "The Magic School Bus Rocks & Rolls" Join the Magic School Bus crew as Ms. Frizzle turns the Bus into a boulder and the students into rocks for a lesson about erosion.

Happy Father's Day!Father's Day Celebration at Southwind Park, Sunday, June 19th beginning at 2:00 p.m. Watch as park officials dedicate the new "Treeless Treehouse" as well as the Hanson-Troxell Splash Fountain and the Honor Guard Garden. Plenty of free activities as well including a fishing derby, live entertainment, face painting, magicians and more. Fireworks at dusk.
