Screen Free Week: Saturday, April 30th - Friday, May 6th. Take the pledge and step away from those screens for one week. Enjoy free, family friendly activities through the week.
 Upper Story Tour: Thursday, May 5th at 5:00 p.m. Take time to look up and think beyond the ground floors passed every day on the sidewalk. Following the tour, a reception will be held 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. upstairs at Floyd's Thirst Parlor (210 S. 5th Street). Ticket includes a complimentary beverage and appetizers (while they last) provided by several downtown restaurants.

Mother's Day Special at China Towne: Sunday, May 8th starting at 12:00 p.m. For all moms who paint with their kids, the moms enjoy FREE studio time! Details here.
 Super Saturday at the Illinois State Museum: It's All About Birds! Saturday, May 14th from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Come learn about birds with bird crafts and activities. At 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., join us in the auditorium for a special performance as John James Audubon, portrayed by Brian "Fox" Ellis, shares adventures from his first trek through Illinois. At 2:30 p.m., Mr. Audubon will offer a special tour through the Museum.
"Focus on Others" with Westlake Photography through the month of May. A generous portion of the proceeds from portrait packages will go to four area charitable organizations. Details here.
