GOT A SWIMMER IN YOUR FAMILY? The YMCA Swim Team Continues to Score Big in Area Meets
| |  50 swimmers will be moving on to the Area meet in the YMCA Championship Series on March 19/20th after qualifying at districts. The girls are sending 26 swimmers for 34 individual entries and 9 relays. The boys will send 24 swimmers for 29 individual entries and 10 relays. Best wishes to our area swimmers! More results here.

Saturday, March 12th: St. Patrick's Day Parade. Starts at 12:00 p.m. downtown. Viewing from the Old State Capitol square is always the best. (Don't forget to buy a "green nose" from the Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery. Only a $1; benefits the Nursery.)
 Saturday, March 12th: Super Saturday and Junior Collectors Day at the Illinois State Museum! Celebrate "A Place of Discovery" before it retires. From 10:00 - 4:00 p.m. Also, check out kids' collections from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. too!
March 12 and 13th: Lincoln Memorial Garden Maple Syrup Demonstration Time. 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. hikes. Don't forget to sign up for their famous Maple Syrup Pancake and Sausage breakfast on March 19/20 and 26/27th. Phone: 529-1111.
