Saturday, May 8th at 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Springfield Sliders "Tickets, Tryouts & Tailgate" Event at Robin Roberts Stadium at Lanphier Park.  Free hot dogs, chips and drinks while supplies last to fans coming out to purchase tickets for the Sliders upcoming season.  Details here. 


May 13th:  Illinois Products Farmers Market Special Opening Event at the State Fairgrounds from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Admission FREE.  Children's Activity Area sponsored by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.  Make your own Lincoln inspired design to take home.  Decorate a sun bonnet to wear in the garden, make a magnet out of seeds or play the bean bag toss to win prizes.  Directions/map here.


Art of Illinois Wine, Saturday and Sunday, May 15th and 16th from 11:00 - 6:00 in conjunction with the Old State Capitol Art Fair.  Corner of 5th and Jefferson.  Open to those 21 and older.  Admission is $10 and includes glass and five tasting tickets.  Entertainment, too!  Details here.
