It all adds up to improving the quality of life in Northern Indiana. SSCC promotes the use of alternative fuels and alternatively fueled vehicles. Through education, we are expanding the choices to improve our environment by including hybrids, fuel blends and idle reduction technology.

South Shore Clean Cities is successful due to the support of our members. Dues and corporate memberships enable SSCC to hold meetings, sponsor educational workshops and provide vital outreach materials.

"Membership with South Shore Clean Cities is a tremendous asset to NIRPC.  SSCC keeps up and provides us with access to the most current information on new technology, innovative approaches, and funding opportunities pertaining to energy and air emission reductions  from the vehicle fleet sector.  They also arrange excellent events that are beneficial for learning about this new information and for networking with leaders in these sectors."
