EERE Program News
For the past four years, EERE has published the EERE Program News to update you on the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s programs and events, as well as developments in renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies.

However, EERE has determined that they can better serve their stakeholders by merging the EERE Program News into other communication vehicles, including the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Web site and energyempowers.gov, which provides information on emerging clean energy technologies and the clean energy economy. You can also connect with DOE in new and creative ways through the Energy Blog.

Fleet Technology Seminar
When: September 9th, 2010 8:30 AM -11:00 AM
Where: Maple Meadows Golf Course
272 S. Addison Road
Wood Dale, IL 60191

The Chicago Area Clean Cities Coalition invites you to attend a Biogas Seminar Thursday, September 9. Speakers Tony Lindsay from Gas Technology Institute and Jan Scott from Unison Solutions will discuss examples of projects converting once wasted biogas streams into useful and practical energy sources, including vehicle fuel, through a variety of applications .
Getting gas from sources such as agricultural waste, forestry residues, municipal waste water, or landfills is a highly under utilized resource. Using gas from these sources can help reduce energy dependence and greenhouse gas emissions. Advancements in technologies to utilize biogas and public policies regarding the value of biogas are now making projects economically possible around the country.
The Coalition invites you to stick around after the seminar and participate in the Coalition's 10th annual golf outing.  The outing is a great opportunity to network with other CACC members, local industry leaders and our friendly coalition members to the north and east (Wisconsin & Indiana).
The seminar and golf outing will be held at the Maple Meadows Golf Course, 272 S. Addison Road in Wood Dale, IL.
Golf will be played in a scramble format. Prizes will be awarded for the Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt and the team with the best score.
