Please consider being a financial contributor to help us with our goals: 1. Institutions: Close Them! ~ Film & Book of Former Residents Who Lived At Laconia State School ~ World-Wide DVD Action Events ~ Community Quilt-Making For Those Who Move Into Communities In The U.S. 2. Young Adult Self-Advocacy Conference 3. Self-Advocacy/Community Fair 4. Employment Workshops 5. Relationships Workshops
Our top two priority goals are described as follows:

Institutions: Close Them! Is a goal with many activities. Our main activity is to produce a film and publish a book giving us first-hand stories from former residents of Laconia State School. While Laconia is now closed and people are living in our communities, our members are dedicated to getting out the message that all institutions across the world should be closed.

Young Adult Self-Advocacy Conference sponsored by the Generation Y-Not Committee is an exciting goal for young people to gather together and learn new skills including how to advocate for him or herself. Our conference is planned for November 6, 2009 in Concord with the theme as Relationships: Work, Love, Play, Life.
Financial contributors will be credited in our film, book, conference and other material, and, on our website or Facebook Cause. For more information about our goals, you can contact us by phone: 603-568-2128; by email info@peoplefirstofnh.org; or visit our website www.peoplefirstofnh.org
