Greetings!

Welcome to the Gray Institute October Newsletter!

The fall seminar series is complete and we have begun preparations for the 2011 GIFT class, which begins in January.  For those interested in our unique, 10-month fellowship of Applied Functional Science, please contact Doug Gray at the institute as the 2011 class is close to reaching capacity.

The focus of the October newsletter is vibration training.  Many of you may have seen or even used vibration.  We are proud to have GIFT graduate Rodney Corn, FAFS and co-founder of PTA Global, share with us a simple article on; what vibration is, how it works, and why use it.  In addition, a link is provided revealing a short video which contains a small sampling of the many vibration training applications with the VibePlate.  This video link is a great example of applying AFS knowledge to a common tool for expansion to limitless possibilities.  Gary Gray has said it best; "use the tool, don't let the tool use you".   With an understanding of the principles of human movement, anyone can make something great - better.

To learn more please see the Practical Application and Questions and Answer section.  If you have any questions, concerns or comments please contact Lenny Parracino at lparracino@gmail.com.

Thank you!

Good, Good, Good Vibrations

Rodney Corn, FAFS

Co-Founder PTA Global

Okay, so let me get this straight ... you just stand on this "plate" and it works you out? Yeah, right! Can someone please explain to me this whole vibration-training thing, please???

This is a very common response to the concept of vibration training. Especially if the person is watching a video on it, using it in a facility, and/or are standing on one for the first time. Let's take a look at some key aspects of vibration training to help get a better understanding of it.
