Greetings!

Welcome to the Gray Institute's August Newsletter!  This month has been a huge travel month for the Gray Institute Team.  The team shared Applied Functional Science in Los Angeles for the IDEA-World Fitness Convention with great acceptance!  After Los Angeles, the team moves north to Toronto for the Can-Fit-Pro Show.  Getting the Applied Functional Science knowledge spread throughout the world will help us all communicate and ultimately impact the people we make contact with each day.  Thank you for your support!

In this month's practical application Doug Gray, FAFS will share techniques from the recent release of the 3D Matrix Performance Series titled "Balance Escalation".  It's one thing to have a bunch of balance tools and another to have a logical programming sequence; Doug does a great job with the difficult part and shares with us for immediate application!  If you have any questions, concerns or comments please contact Lenny Parracino at

lparracino@gmail.com.

Thank you!

Practical Application
Balance Escalation Cover

"Balance Escalation" is a workout designed to strategically, three-dimensionally, and sequentially improve balance.  This workout properly blends balance with motion to greater expand one's threshold to then allow better efficiency in any task, activity, or sport.  Watch how Doug uses authentic drivers such as the foot to challenge threshold.  This is a "back-to-basics" application. Fancy tools are fun, but the more authentic or real you make it the easier it is for a person to take the "gift" home and practice.  This short video from the entire program will share what you can expect in this great video. (Round 1, Part 1).  We have the video on special this month for you to enjoy the entire progression - see below!  Enjoy!

Doug has also authored an excellent article on balance.  It is titled "Balance Escalation; the synonymy of balance and motion".  If you would like to read it, please click on the link below.  It is also available in the "news & articles" section of the Gray Institute website.
