Greetings!
We at the Gray Institute hope you're having a great start to your summer! This month we will explore the science of Tweakology. Yes, a fancy word but with much meaning! From an application perspective Tweakology is really what most of us strive for each day with our athletes, patients and clients; the ability to create the right variable at the right time for the right reason. Tweakology is the study of choosing and managing the most effective variables to create optimal environments for analysis, rehabilitation, prevention, and performance training and conditioning. Have you ever said to yourself, "how can I get my client/patient/athlete to perform "such and such"? The science of Tweakology allows us to CREATE the needed reactions without creating too much mental rigidity on our clients/patients. To explore this critical component of everyday practice we have posted an article written by Gary Gray entitled Tweakology, its short but with much substance. We also, have a 10 minute video clip on the application of Tweakology - mind you this is a small portion of the power of Tweakology but a great example of how to make us all more efficient. Part Two which you will receive later this month will review research reviews from Dr. Tiberio with commentary from Gary. If you have any questions this month the deadline is July 17th. Please email questions to Lenny Parracino @ lparracino@grayinstitute.com Thank you, we appreciate your continued support.

Questions / Answers |
Question 1) Within Tweakology, the reactions to the various tweaks seem to be predictable. On the other hand, with Tweakology being an art, the selections of plane, range, speed, etc. is more complicated. Where does one begin to learn more about Tweakology? What references are best? >VIEW ANSWER<
Question 2) I have heard the concept "tweak-in", "tweak-out" mentioned, can you give an example of each? >VIEW ANSWER<
