Glacier Hockey Introduces Skating Treadmill in Hockey Zone!
The "Great One" Wayne Gretzky often said: "If you can't skate, you can't play  our sport. Skating is an art." Yes, skating is an art. The entire sport of ice hockey is an art - a complicated art, made up of many different skills, of which skating is the most important. What Gretzky was saying was that if you can't perform every hockey skating maneuver with speed, agility, mobility, power, quickness, explosiveness and efficiency, you can't make it to the highest levels! Another way to look at it is that improving your skating, more than any other area, will result in the most improvement to your overall game. This was true in Gretzky's day, and it's even more true today. Today's stars fly down the ice at speeds unheard of even ten years ago. Players who are agile and explosively fast dominate the game Glacier Hockey continues to implement new and exciting training techniques to give you the edge over the competition. We are excited to inform you that we have purchased a new innovative Skating Treadmill that will be located in our Hockey Zone training facility. The skating treadmill will enhance the comprehensive training provided by our programs. The skating treadmill will give us the opportunity to work exclusively on the proper techniques of a player's individual skating stride and give the skater visual feedback so they can see the proper mechanics as they skate. Glacier Assistant Hockey Director Bob Scott will oversee the operations of the Treadmill. Along with Bob's expertise on skating techniques, the treadmill instructors will all be trained and certified to insure proper and consistent instruction on the skating treadmill. There will be multiple opportunities to train on the treadmill including small group training, team training as well as private lessons (1 on 1). The Puck Stops Here... Our new concessions stand
 After a week of frantic work our new concessions stand opens today. It will be operated by the owners of Tropik Sun Fruit and Nut Barbra and Harry, (You may have been to their store in Libertyville).
They have a great team of enthusiastic staff ready to serve you anything from Hot dogs, Pretzels or Nachos to their very own exotic flavored popcorn. There will be a full range of drinks to accompany the food including ICEE, which is a frozen carbonated delicious beverage.
