World Youth Day Pilgrims
Be sure to pray for our military-connected pilgrims traveling to Australia for Military Days in the Diocese and/or World Youth Day 2008. Bp. Estabrook will be meeting with these pilgrims and delivering catechesis throughout the World Youth Day celebrations. Learn more about these activities and updates on events as they occur online at http://www.military.catholic.org.au/wyd2008/news.html and http://www.wyd2008.org.
The Year of St. Paul
On June 28th Pope Benedict XVI marked the opening of the Pauline Year at St. Paul's Outside-the-Walls in Rome. At a celebration of First Vespers for the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul the Holy Father said, "For us Paul is not a figure of the past whom we recall with veneration. He is also our master, the Apostle and announcer of Jesus Christ to us too." The church celebrates St. Paul on the 2000th anniversary of his birth. Find resources online to commemorate the year of St. Paul. http://www.usccb.org/liturgy/stpaul/index.shtml
Fr. John McLaughlinAMS Vocation Director
We are pleased to welcome Fr. John McLaughlin who will serve as the first vocation director for the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. Fr. McLaughlin is a priest of the Archdiocese of Boston. He will be visiting military installations to talk with young adults about vocations in the church. Of this year's ordination class, in the United States, ten percent either served on active duty or grew up in the military.

Father McLaughlin was interviewed by Raymond Arroyo on the show The World Over yesterday. His interview will be aired on EWTN tomorrow (July 4) at 8pm.

Read CNN's interview with Fr. McLaughlin and view a FOX Report TV interview.
Holy Hour for Members of the Military Archdiocese
Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio is hosting a Holy Hour to pray for our service men and women and their families, wherever they may be -- on duty around the globe, on deployment, in VA hospitals and medical centers, the wounded in action -- and those who are deceased. The Holy Hour will be held Sunday, August 3rd, 2008 from 4:00pm-5:00pm in the Crypt Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception located at 400 Michigan Avenue, NE, Washington, DC. The Holy Hour will be followed by a small reception. If you are at a nearby installation, please try to make arrangements to attend! Please RSVP to csc@milarch.org by July 28, 2008.
Where are you?
We've had some requests for where CSC groups are meeting. So please let us know! We'll help get the word out through the CSC website. If you are regularly meeting, e-mail Glynnis LaGarde at glagarde@milarch.org and let her know what installation you are at, and the date, time and place you are currently meeting. She will place this information on the Group Locator page (Home>>Activities>>Group Locator). http://cscmilarch.org/index/group-locator.

About Us
Catholics Seeking Christ (CSC) is a movement among young adult Catholics who are striving to know Christ and follow him in their lives, particularly within their vocation of serving their country in the armed forces.

CSC groups, comprised of 8-10 Catholic young adult military personnel, meet together regularly for discussions about faith, as well as for prayer and fellowship. Groups are led by young adult peers who receive training, resources, and continued guidance and support from the Office of Evangelization of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA.
