Greetings!
Usually I begin with a joke. But this time, I want to be more serious.
Next week, the new Archbishop for the Archdiocese for the Military Services will take command of the Archdiocese. His Excellency, Timothy Broglio, will be our new Archbishop -- and you are all invited as Leaders in the Archdiocese to attend, if you can. And please bring fellow CSC members, Catholics and others to meet and greet our new Archbishop.
When: Friday, January 25th, 2008, 1pm - 4:30pm
Where: the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception
Nb There will be free parking for cars and buses in the Basilica parking lots. The Basilica is also accessible by Metro. Please arrive at the Basilica at 1pm to be seated. Seating is limited, and the Mass will be televised, so being seated on time is important.
There will be a reception after Mass starting at 3:30pm in the Memorial Hall of the Basilica. Please come in uniform and take the opportunity to meet and greet our new Archbishop. Your presence at this event is highly valued.
God bless, Pavel
P.S. Please call or e-mail me to let me know you are coming -- and for more information. |

A training was held there on January 11-12 at the Naval Weapons Station and included participants from the Naval Weapons Station, Charleston AF base, and the Citadel. About Us Catholics Seeking Christ (CSC) is a movement among young adult Catholics who are striving to know Christ and follow him in their lives, particularly within their vocation of serving their country in the armed forces.
CSC groups, comprised of 8-10 Catholic young adult military personnel, meet together regularly for discussions about faith, as well as for prayer and fellowship. Groups are led by young adult peers who receive training, resources, and continued guidance and support from the Office of Young Adult Ministries of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. | | |
