Dear Friend of STAF:
Thank you! Because of your generous donations to STAF's Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction, the event was a huge success! We served approximately 535 dinners and raised over $19,000!
Our shelter depends so much on this annual event. It helps support us as we care for over 650 animals and try to find loving and permanent homes for them. Your generosity truly made a difference for each and every one of them.
From all of us at STAF, thank you so much again for making this year's Spaghetti Dinner an incredible success!

| PENNIES FOR PAWS UPDATE |
Thank you all so much for donating your pennies to us! As of March 31st, we've collected 21,775 pennies! Although we still have a ways to go, we know we're going to reach our goal of raising 1 million pennies for all our furrballs!
Can you help? Please bring your pennies to the shelter and drop them off in the box in the lobby. Know of someplace to put a pennies donation box such as your office or a local business in your neighborhood - Contact Carol at carol@staf.org and she can get a donation box to you! | |

The Animal Rescue Site is hosting a $100,000 Shelter+ Challenge for their eligible Petfinder.com shelter and rescue group members. The grand prize is a $20,000 grant, second place receives a $5,000 grant and third prize receives $3,000. In addition, there are 'Honorable Mentions' as well as 'State Winners'

 RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT - JAX
A little clown with the expressive eyes of a silent film star, Jax comes to us from a county shelter with too many dogs, too little money, and the best of intentions.
By bringing him to our shelter, we're hoping that this wonderful dog has a better chance at finding his forever home.
"Peppy" is the word for Jax. He is filled to the brim with beagle energy-- a true representative of his breed. He loves to chase a ball around the yard, but he'll also jump up into your lap and gaze at you with those gorgeous peepers. He gets along with most other dogs and would do well in a home with an equally peppy playmate.
If you can keep up with this zippy little guy's energy level, he would sure love to meet you. Stop by during STAF adoptions every Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday from 1:00-4:00pm. |
 RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT - STORMY
April Showers are upon us, but here at STAF our Stormy brings nothing but comfort and smiles.
Stormy, approximately 4 years old, came to us with her brothers and sisters of the "Weather" litter a couple of springs ago. While her name might imply a tempest, Stormy, with her beautiful round face of a British short-hair, is nothing more than a pleasant spring rain that helps flowers bloom and causes smiles to blossom on human faces.
She is a rather shy girl at first, but once she trusts you, she wants nothing more than to cuddle in your arms and purr. Her other favorite thing is to lie in a bed and roll around while you stroke her cashmere like fur. If you are lucky, she will put her front leg over her face and then give you her coy look, which will just melt your heart.
If your home atmosphere could use some perking up, throw on your galoshes and rain slicker and head to STAF on Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday from 1:00-4:00pm and spend some time with Stormy. | |
